John Kelly Quilantang is a writer, photographer, and a United States Marine veteran. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing and an Associate's degree in Communications. Growing up on the island of Guam, the thrill of the outdoors defined his views about the world. This outlook on living continues to catalyze his desire to travel and to record all the stories he has heard and experienced. From reading books to watching films, and listening to the tales of adventure of strangers and friends, his interest in storytelling amplified when he decided to pursue a life worth writing. This aspiration brought him to live in and visit many countries spanning across six of the seven continents—with the last one in the works. He is currently working on his first novel and a short story collection that recounts the stories he has heard from the people he’d met during his travels. A beloved fan of adventure photography, his work has been featured in an award-winning travel blog.

Quil currently lives in the tristate area of the United States, patiently planning to go and see what is over the horizon.
